From Erica on 9/26 - Wicked Good Dog Training, "As many of you may know, I will no longer be teaching the group dog training classes for the Peterborough Recreation Department. I have been so honored to meet and work with so many of you and your dogs over the years. While it is sad to be leaving, I feel much better knowing I am leaving this community that I love in such wonderful and capable hands. Amee Abel CPDT-KA, of Abel 2 Train, will be taking over teaching group dog obedience classes for the PRC. I have worked with Amee as a student, with my own dogs, and as a colleague, for the last 7 years and I am fully confident she will take excellent care of you and your dog.
I wish you all the best in your training journey with your beloved dogs.

Your Dog’s First Training Class
This 6-week class is suitable for puppies and dogs (8 weeks to 8 months) and new-to-your-family dogs. We work on the basic manners such as sit, down, polite greetings, leash walking, wait/stay, coming when called and more.
Dog Genius Class
This class builds on the behaviors learned in your First Training class. Dogs will work around greater distractions, execute more reliable and precise behaviors and strengthen any behaviors that are not as consistent. Pre-requisite: Your First Training Class or equivalent. Your dog must be able to learn in a room with other dogs.
Intro to Therapy Dog
Therapy dogs visit to make people feel better. If you have a social, well-mannered dog and you have the time to volunteer, Therapy Dog work may be the job for you both! This 6 week course can prepare you to become a certified ThD team. We will work on the skills of polite greeting, patient waiting while people talk, party tricks to entertain those who you visit, and learn the rules and requirements to certify through Alliance of Therapy Dog (www.therapydogs.com)
