We have pickleball! 

So, what is this funny named sport? Outside of being the fastest growing sport in America, this game is described as a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong. The game is played on a badminton size court, utilizing a net like the one used in tennis, and the paddles are fashioned after ping pong paddles. The ball? It is a wiffle-type ball. Come check it out!

Note: The Peterborough Community Center is undergoing renovations from January 2024 through at least January 2025 and the Peterborough Recreation Department does not know when and how intrusive renovations will be. Please choose your pickleball payment options wisely, as we will NOT issue refunds through the renovation period that are related to closures. When:   For Recreational Play (Level 2.0 to 3.25)
                   Tuesday & Friday, 8:30am-10:30am 
                    Saturday, 8:30am-10:20am, 3-5pm
             For Open Play (Level 2.0 to 5.0)
                   Wednesday, 8:30am-10:30am
                   Thursday, 6pm-8pm
                   Sunday, 3pm-5pm
              For Competitive Play (Level 3.5 to 5.0) * 2024
                   Monday & Thursday, 8:30am-10:30am 
                          Tuesday, 6pm-8pm
                                       Saturday, 1-3pm

Registration: Please fill out the pickleball registration form before playing. If you have one on file, you are all set. We will be using a sign-in sheet, so please sign yourself in. There will be a binder inside the orange box & PCC bag with pages of these sheets. Also, please utilize PlayTime Scheduler for Pickleball at  https://www.playtimescheduler.com

UPCOMING PICKLEBALL CLINICS: If you are interested in attending a pickleball clinic (beginner and/or intermediate level) please sign up below.

Please note that when PRD offers an intermediate clinic it is for players who are interested and motivated to become advanced competitive players: 
           - Intermediate clinics are not for advanced competitive players, but for intermediate players who want to raise their skills to a higher level. 
           - Registrants for this clinic should already be able to hit forehands, backhands, volleys, and serve consistently. You should be able to maintain a dink rally but inconsistently to register for this program.
